My heart goes out to the people that have this terrible disease, but yet I feel like there are things that could have been done to prevent it. Un protected sex shouldn't even be an option till marriage and if you are positive don't have sex period..
I"m sorry for you, but use common sense. Don't through your fate on to somebody else. When people think of AIDS they automatically think of a male homosexuality, which is not right, by no means. Anybody c
an get it, but people that think like that aren't going to be lookin at this website. I will say this again. I"m sorry and I won't say my prays go out to you cause I'm not religious and if there is a god he left a lot of good people to suffer.
n I hope brighter days come to you people and again you will be at peace

Hello everyone my name is MaryJane.I am 17 years old who lives in Va and I am infected with HIV. I was diagnosed with it 3 months ago and it has taken a great big impact on my social life
.I was infected by my best friend who I have been in love with for 11 years. He was infected with HIV when he got drunk at a party and had a one night stand. He started to date me 7 months after that night and he didn't know he was infected yet. We dated for 3 years until we gave it up to each other and that is when I became HIV positive.
Seven months passed and I got this real high fever. My mom took me to the doctor where they took blood from me and that's when I found out I was HIV positive. I told Ryan and he didn't believe me at first until he went and got tested and found out he was HIV positive. Ryan and I are not together but we are still best friends and always will be.
Getting a job was the toughest part, no one would hire me b/c I was HIV positive. Soon my mom opened a re! straunt where I now am a waitress. All my friends stuck by me and always try to cheer me up everyday. I love them for that.
I take 23 types of medicine to keep me from getting sick but sometimes it doesn't work. I am living my life to the fullest by getting my tongue pierced and going skydiving. I am currently looking for a boyfriend who will always be there for me and give me moral support when I need it
.I want to thank everyone for reading my story and seeing what it is like to have HIV.

I feel sorry for all the people that have either AIDS or HIV. I don't know anyone with it but I do help people in need of help if they need it. Most of the time I feel sorry for the people that have it but there are other times were I just say hey they didn't use protection, or they shouldn't have had sex with that person.
But most of all I feel sorry for the people that have it when they were born. I don't think that it is right for people to ignore other people that got AIDS when they were born.
I am sorry if I offended anyone at this time.

I am extremely impressed with your site !!
Being a new computer user and a 25 y/o hetero man diagnosed with HIV (6 months ago) I found it answered a heap of questions that I wouldn't have known where to begin to look for.

I have read all the "Feedback" and felt comforted to know that there are so many people without HIV offering their much appreciated support. There has been requests in "Feedback" for hetero men's stories so I will be submitting mine...although I am only at the "Beginning" of the journey of my "New Life"

I AM PRESENTLY ENROLLED IN A VISUAL ARTS SCHOOL FOR GRAPHIC DESIGN I WAS ASSIGNED A PROJECT FOR A PUBLIC AWARENESS POSTER AND I USED 3 IMAGES OFF OF YOUR SIGHT. ONE OF MY TEACHERS TOLD ME TO SUBMIT THE PROJECT TO THE VILLAGE VOICE HERE IN NEW YORK TO SEE IF THEY WOULD PUBLISH IT IN THE GAY PRIDE ISSUE. SO MY QUESTION TO YOU IS WOULD YOU MIND IF I USE YOUR IMAGES FOR MY PROJECT IN THE EVENT IT WOULD GET PUBLISHED IN THE PAPER. I AM NOT LOOKING FOR ANY MONIES FOR MY POSTER FROM THE PAPER OR ANYONE ELSE THAT MAY WANT TO USE IT. THIS WOULD BE A CONTRIBUTION FOR AIDS AWARENESS FREE OF CHARGE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF IT IS OK. THANK YOU, SANDY

Dear Ms.Carolena Helderman,
this site gives me an already deeper insight than I currently have, and I thank you for that.
I may already have a good insight be it my parents are doctors, and that I have been through a course before I entered college...but I'm eager to know more! Mainly, the emotions behind it all...my AIDS camp was a real success...and I'm trying to promote the knowledge of it around

Now, I'd like the help of everyone; I'm doing this research on AIDS patients and them having children, primarily. With data from Malaysia, the chances of the child not contracting AIDS is 40% yes. Thus I need to know What exactly are the chances of AIDS patients, having children? (As my Thesis Statement reads `life after life`...focusing on the life of the child after the life of AIDS..and that AIDS patients deserve a chance of conceiving/having a child, as long as their partner(not affected)is/are willing) Also, I need the information concerning any other relevant vital stats and information concerning this topic but mainly focusing on the aspect of the child factor as mentioned above and the ignorance of society towards AIDS, the negative side...
I want to Make my audience `feel` with me & I Hope I can make a difference.
Thanks again!
Matthew

I FOUND OUT THAT I AM FULL BLOWN IN APRIL, LIVE IN DANBURY CT, HAVE FOUND REALY NOT MUCH HELP FROM THE CHURCH, OR AIDS PROJECT, IT SEEMS LIKE, AT THIS POINT THE MEDICINE IS WORKING ,
I WENT FROM VIRAL LOAD OF 150.000 TO BELOW 50,
THE PROBLEM IS THE T CELLS ARE 138 NOW THEY WERE 80,
IT TAKING FOR EVER TO BRING THEM UP,IS THAT OK?

THANK YOU ,
I GUESS WE HAVE A HELL OF A FIGHT AHEAD OF US, I AM A 38 YEAR OLD MAN, WILL I MAKE IT TILL 40? ........MAY GOD BLESS US..
SEE YOU LATER FRIENDS,

written: GOD ARE YOU THERE IM way down HEAR!
you;re way up THERE!
are you sure you can hear my faint,
faltering prayer?
for l'm so unsure of just how much more I have left hear,
to tell you the truth, god, I don't know what to say...
I just know I am lonely and vaguely disturbed,
bewildered and restless,
confused and still not understanding why me why AIDS,
and the people tell me to prayer it helps to quiet the mind,
and unburden the mind maybe for them ,
but not yet me,
while they pray for there bills to be paid I pray for my life ,j
just to live another day,,,,,,,, and hope for a day that every one in this world will never know of AIDS any more,,,

the way I found out that I got AIDS was when I got a call from one girl I went out with for two years and she said sorry I never told you but you better get checked out , by this time I had already been with a another girl and started a family we had a baby girl . At this point after the baby was born , we broke up. Then the test came back I did not have HIV,1,2 3, I had full blown AIDS, I went and told the girl that I had the baby with but by this time she was dating the garbage man and was pregnant again, any way what more can I do ,

I made sure that my baby was tested, they say she is OK,That's fine by me but what about the garbageman ,her, and every one else that she slept with, as of now I know I have AIDS for one year and two months, and have not had sex since I found out ,I don't want to face god and tell him I new and can kill someone with a AIDS virus, I was a plumber for 20 years I lost my job my family my friends. Now I try not to tell anyone any more, and I keep talking my med. and some times break down and cry, it helps to let it out, anyway l'm doing OK, I think, right now I sick with something like a cold staying home started a garden,
and will keep on living, may god bless you ,

Hello the site is looking great I am writing from the HIV Women's project South Australia to let you know that we have a web page on the site of our auspicing body women's' health state-wide
The address is www.whs.sa.gov.au
Can we be placed on your links page? We have the first edition of Treat Yourself Right on our site a national women and HIV information booklet and we have negotiated with the Australian Federation of AIDS organisations to place the new edition on too.
We currently have a large number of hits to this publication. We also have info on the projects page about the women's project and our current new sheet though we are bit behind at the moment.
Thanks
