Positive relationship

I have just recently begin a relationship with a man that is HIV positive and I am HIV negative. When we first got together I knew that he was positive and because I was able to see past his health status, I decided to go on with the relationship anyway.

When it came time to talk about being intimate with one another I was very candid and honest with him. I told him that I was indeed very scared, but I went ahead and we had sexual relations. (With a condom of course.) Now I have started to come up with other ways that we could be intimate without having actual intercourse and it is seeming to be comfortable and ok with the two of us. If you would have told me a year ago that I would be in a relationship with someone who was HIV positive I would have laughed in your face, but this man is actually the most loving, caring, sincere, and kindest man that I have ever had the pleasure to be with. We are quickly becoming companions and best friends. We are honest with one another and I respect his feelings as he respects mine.

I just wanted to share my story with you all just in case there was someone out there who may be struggling with a similiar situation. I cannot stress enough the "IMPORTANCE" of having safe sex. Condoms are safe if used the correct way. Never use Lambskin condoms only Latex and for those of you who are allergic to Latex such as myself, there are Polyurethane condoms and ladies we also have our very own Female condoms.

Feel free to e-mail me with any questions, comments, or concerns. And I am so glad that I found this website. Remember safety must come first cause love ain't got nothing to do with it. Love you lots!!!
